Rig is set up in my basement
(and Yes, I will soon build a table to put to pump on so I will not be
kneeling on the floor)
The center hole cylinder lifts the 3/4" Grade 8 threaded rod, putting
tension on the sample. The piece of 1.5" x 1.5" steel
tubing on the top has a nut welded to it and is used to adjust the
length of the threaded rod.
